Apple’s Latest Operating System mac OS Catalina

At its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the company first released the latest version of its desktop OS. It’s arrived on Monday for all users.

macOS-Catalina

The free upgrade to macOS 10.15, or “Catalina,” launched by Apple today.

Available from the Mac App Store, where the update has been tagged at almost 5 GB or even larger direct download-up to 8 GB from its predecessor-Catalina is free and can be downloaded on a wide variety of Macs.

Mac owners currently running Mojave 2018 (10.14) can update from the System Preferences window by selecting Software Update. Machines running High Sierra (10.11), Sierra (10.12) and High Sierra (10.13) are however expected to update from the Mac App Store. Those few customers who still rely on the old Lion (10.7) or Mountain Lion (10.8) should upgrade to El Capitan first before upgrading to Catalina from there.

Even, macOS Catalina breaks with the past and declines to run 32-bit games.

Further information about Catalina can be found on Apple’s website, as well as detailed instructions on steps to be taken before upgrading.
